v1.0 Updated 4 Aug 2026

RC35 — Current Release

RC35 delivers a complete enterprise footer ecosystem with six columns of genuine, interconnected content pages covering legal, support, company, governance, and resources. The notification system has been centralised with a shared NotificationProvider context for real-time badge synchronisation across the app. The exercise cache sync automation has been fixed and reactivated for regular metadata updates. Garmin health data integration now spans seven metric types: daily summaries, heart rate, sleep, stress, body battery, activities, and sync logs. Content management has been migrated to a database-driven SiteContent system with 72 canonical records replacing static fallback data.

RC34

RC34 introduced the rewards and gamification engine with points, XP, levels (Bronze through Champion), leaderboards, achievements, and medals. The referral infrastructure was overhauled with a secure FriendInvitation entity using hashed tokens and 30-day expiration. The notification engine was refactored for contextual, preference-aware alerts with a unified notification centre. Community challenges and leaderboards were added, allowing users to create and join friend, team, and family groups with shared goals and competitive rankings.

RC25 Series

The RC25 series brought Garmin device integration with OAuth authentication, health data synchronisation across multiple metric types, and wearable insights panels. MuscleWiki exercise metadata enrichment was added with video availability checking and alternative video mapping for exercises without direct video content. Exercise quality scoring was introduced to identify and improve low-quality exercise records. Preventative health scoring and monthly health reviews were added, giving users AI-driven insights into long-term health trends and risk factors based on their activity and biometric data.

How We Version

BodyFit uses release candidate (RC) versioning. Each release includes new features, improvements, and fixes documented here. Breaking changes are communicated in advance through in-app notifications and email where appropriate. We follow a continuous delivery model, shipping features as they are ready rather than on a fixed schedule. See our Updates page for a higher-level summary of recent changes and our Roadmap page for what is coming next. All releases are logged here with dates, scope, and notable changes for full transparency.
