A comprehensive library of 873+ exercises with instructions, safety tips, images, and video availability — built on public-domain data.
Our exercise library is built on the free-exercise-db public-domain dataset (873+ exercises) with MuscleWiki metadata enrichment for video availability. We comply with MuscleWiki’s terms — video URLs are never stored; they are fetched transiently at playback. We support open-data and open-source communities.
Browse exercises by category (barbell, dumbbell, bodyweight, band, kettlebell, machine, cables), primary muscle, difficulty, force type, mechanic, workout environment (home, gym, chair, floor), and video availability. Use the AI search for natural-language queries like “bodyweight exercises for chest at home”.
Each exercise includes: step-by-step instructions, primary and secondary muscles, equipment, difficulty, force type, mechanic, workout environment, safety tips, beginner and advanced variations, and reference images. Video availability is shown where MuscleWiki has videos.
We score exercise data quality and map GitHub exercises to MuscleWiki alternatives for video playback. Our admin team reviews mapping suggestions and maintains quality. Low-quality exercises are flagged for improvement. See our Exercise Quality Dashboard (admin) for details.
