Introduction
BodyFit by Mi7z is designed for adults and teenagers. This Children's Policy explains our age requirements, how we protect younger users, and our compliance with UK data protection law for minors.
Age Requirements
- Under 13: BodyFit is not available to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we delete it promptly.
- Ages 13–17: Teenagers aged 13–17 may use BodyFit with parental consent. They are enrolled in Youth Mode, which applies additional safety restrictions.
- 18 and over: Full access to all BodyFit features.
Youth Mode
When a user aged 13–17 registers, we apply Youth Mode automatically based on the date of birth provided. Youth Mode includes:
- Restricted features: No high-intensity or advanced exercises; focus on safe, age-appropriate movements
- No targeted marketing: We do not send marketing communications to users under 18
- Enhanced privacy: We apply the strictest privacy settings by default
- Parental awareness: We may notify parents if provided during registration
Parental Consent
For users aged 13–17, we require parental consent during registration. If you are a parent and believe your child has registered without your consent, contact privacy@bodyfit.mi7z.com to request account deletion.
Data Protection for Minors
Under UK GDPR Article 8, we apply special protections to children's data:
- We do not profile children for marketing purposes
- We do not share children's data with third parties for advertising
- We provide clear, age-appropriate privacy information
- We offer simple, accessible ways to exercise data rights
Health & Safety
Our AI Coach applies additional safety filters for users under 18:
- Excludes high-risk exercises and extreme intensity programmes
- Emphasises proper form, recovery, and sustainable training
- Does not promote extreme diets or calorie restriction
- Flags concerning patterns that may indicate disordered eating or overtraining
